The police report the death in a press release.
The message about the collision came at 12.41. At 13.04, the woman was declared dead by a doctor on the spot. The AIBN has been notified of the accident.
Forensic scientists rushed to the scene to investigate. The police have also set up a tip phone after the incident.
People who have tips or have seen the incident can call 47 69 60 60, says operations manager Frode Kolltveit.
Bus for light rail
Due to the accident, Bybanen only ran on the sections Byparken – Mårdalen and Lagunen – Bergen airport.
Skyss set up a bus for the track between Festplassen platform N and Lagunen platform K. It ran via Sjølinjen and Skyss encouraged travelers to Lagunen to use this.
Just before 16.00, Skyss informs that Bybanen is now running as normal again.
County Road 582, which passes by the site, was closed due to the incident. At 2.30 pm, the road has reopened to traffic.
