According to Balberán’s account, his mother remained in the Martín Icaza de Babahoyo hospital, in Ecuador, since 9 am on Friday, June 9. A few hours later, the older adult was declared dead by her attending physician.
The alleged corpse of Bella Montoya was placed in a box, in which it was kept from 2 pm to 6 pm, when her relatives opened the coffin to change her clothes and realized that, in reality, she was not dead as the specialists had said.

Several videos recorded the distressing moments experienced by the woman’s relatives, who, amid stupefaction, tried to revive her and seek help from the Babahoyo Fire Department.

According to the aforementioned media, Bella was taken out of the box and immediately transferred to the Martín Icaza hospital, where she was treated by a different specialist than the one who had given her up for dead.
“The doctor who told me at noon that my mother was dead was not on site. Another took care of me, and he gave me oxygen, they intubated her and took her to a room (ICU), where she is under observation, “the woman’s son told ‘El Universo’.
Although the medical entity has not issued any pronouncement, the first hypothesis that is handled is that the older adult would have suffered from a catalepsy picture, a biological state in which the person lies immobile, in apparent death and without vital signs.
