Woman Dead from Injuries Inflicted with Sharp Object in Oslo, Man Arrested and Charged with Murder

A woman has died after being injured with a sharp object on Teisen in Oslo. The police have arrested and charged a man in the case.

A little after 12:30 on Thursday evening, the police received a report from an apartment on Teisen that a person had been injured. When the police arrived at the address, this person, a woman, was dead.

– We also meet another person in the apartment, a man, and he is arrested. He is now charged with murder. This is what task leader Svend Bjelland in the Oslo police told Aftenposten at around 01.00. The police have control over a witness at the scene.

The police say it is too early to say anything more detailed about the course of action, or whether there is any relationship between the deceased and the accused. The task leader does not want to say whether any of the people involved are already known to the police.

A sharp object must have been used, the police reported on Twitter at 11.49pm on Thursday evening.

– We have control over an object, but whether it is this object that has been used, it is too early to say anything about, says Bjelland, who emphasizes that the police are in a very early phase:

– We cannot rule out that there are more or other people involved.

The arrest is said to have gone undramatically.

The police will carry out investigations at the scene throughout the night.
