The stabbing took place in an apartment block in Verven in Stavanger on Thursday afternoon.
– The accused was transported to hospital and is admitted for psychiatric follow-up. She should not have physical injuries, says prosecutor Fredrik Soma Stavanger Aftenblad. The woman is a Norwegian citizen.
It was Thursday at 16.49 that the police were notified of the incident, which took place in the center of Stavanger.
The man was taken to hospital. According to police, his condition is not life-threatening. Soma tells the newspaper that they are in the process of investigations, interrogations and surveys.
The police say that so far there does not appear to be a relationship between the two, except that they live in the same apartment complex. Soma says the stabbing took place indoors or in connection with the accused woman’s apartment.
