The woman who is charged with attempted murder after a child fell out of a window in a house on Nesodden on Thursday will be produced for remand on Saturday.
The woman, who is in her 50s, is charged after the child, aged around one year, fell around four meters from the window.
The accused woman is related to the child, but is not a parent. Beyond that, the police do not want to go into more detail about the relationship.
According to the police, the child’s condition is still serious on Friday.
The accused woman is in police custody and admitted to Akershus University Hospital. She was not questioned on Friday afternoon.
Police attorney Benedicte Granrud tells NTB that it has not been possible to question the accused woman due to her state of health.
Produced for custody on Saturday
How the woman stands up to the charge is not known.
The woman’s defender, lawyer Jorunn Hegle Hovda, tells NTB on Friday evening that she still has not spoken to her client.
– It has not been relevant today because of her health situation, says Hovda.
She says that her client will be produced for remand on Saturday at 10 a.m. in Søndre Østfold district court in Moss. It is not yet clear whether the imprisonment can be treated as office business, without the attendance of the parties.
Hovda states that if there is a court hearing, it will be held digitally.
A picture of the sequence of events has formed
Granrud says it is still early in the investigation, but that the police have begun to form a picture of the course of events – without wanting to say anything more about this, for the sake of the investigation.
– We are working to map the sequence of events, with technical and tactical investigation, questioning of witnesses and review of electronic material, says the police attorney.
