Woman Chained to Floor by Partner in Louisville, Kentucky: Police Save Her After Two Days of Abuse

In Louisville, Kentucky (UNITED STATES), a femme was chained to the floor of her house for two days after being beaten by her companion. THE policemen were alerted in the early evening of Wednesday August 16 by neighbors who heard the victim screaming, reports The Parisian. They immediately went there.

When they arrived, they noticed that the woman was sequestered on the second floor of the house. The front door of the house having been barricaded, they had to use a ladder to reach it. They then discovered that she was chained to the ground. According to the police, a chain had been slung around his neck by a padlock and fixed to the ground by screws. After being released, the young woman was taken care of by the emergency services.

Death threats

The victim would have been kidnapped following a marital dispute, according to the first elements of the investigation relayed by our colleagues. Several days before her rescue, she was allegedly beaten by her companion. She would have left the marital home before returning the next day to collect her belongings. It was then that her husband would have locked her up after threatening her with death. To prevent him from contacting the emergency services, he would also have taken his phone. Luckily, she still managed to call for help.

The 36-year-old man was arrested by police. He was charged with kidnapping, intimidation, endangering the lives of others, assault, threats and harassment. Presented in court last Saturday, he pleaded “not guilty”. He will appear in court again on Monday. His bail was set at 100,000 dollars, or 92,145 euros.
