Woman at Risk of Losing Pregnancy After Assault in Queens Subway Station

A 25-year-old woman was at risk of losing her pregnancy after a woman with whom she had an argument kicked her in the abdomen. The attack occurred in a Queens subway station, located on 74th Street.

According to the New York Police Department (NYPD) report, the pregnant young woman verbally argued with the woman after their bodies collided. Both were traveling on a 7 train, heading south.

When they arrived at the station, the dispute escalated on the platform. It was at that moment when the woman hit the pregnant woman on the head several times with a cell phone, and kicked her in the abdomen.

The incident occurred at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday. After the attack, the suspect fled the scene on foot, with her whereabouts unknown.

The pregnant young woman was taken to a hospital

With swelling and bruising on his face, as well as pain in his stomach, the victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital. Fortunately, her beatings did not put her pregnancy at risk.

The authorities released an image of the suspect, who is now being searched. She has dark skin, short hair and could wear: white or gray t-shirt, dark brown jacket and a black backpack.
