Woman arrested for tourist stabbing in New York – NBC New York

NEW YORK – A dispute at a popular restaurant in Midtown Manhattan ended with one of its customers stabbing a man in the back with a meat knife, police said.

The preliminary investigation indicated that the victim complained to the restaurant staff about the food service when two women sitting next to the man started arguing with him. It happened around 10:30 pm on a Friday at Ruth’s Chris Steak House 51st Street West Neighbor Seventh Street.

According to the police, at one point, one of the women grabbed a meat knife and stabbed the 24-year-old man in the back. Both women ran out of the restaurant.

Officers found the women on Saturday and arrested one for assault and threats.

It is not clear what the condition of the victim was. Investigators added that she was in town on a visit from London.
