Woman and Man Threaten Mother and Baby with Knife in Brooklyn Police Station

NEW YORK — Authorities are searching for a woman and a man suspected of attacking and threatening a mother and her 9-month-old baby with a knife inside a Brooklyn police station.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, July 5, at around 10:30 a.m., when the victim, a 37-year-old mother, was walking down the stairs of the subway station. Utica Avenue-Crown Heights with the stroller and her baby, a 9-month-old boy, when she got into a dispute with the suspects.

At that point the suspects pulled out a knife, pushed the mother who lost her balance, causing her baby to hit her head against the wall, police said. The mother was not injured, but the baby was treated for minor injuries.

The suspect is described as a 25- to 30-year-old man who was last seen wearing a blue vest, white T-shirt, gray shorts and white sneakers. The woman, for her part, is described as being in her 25s to 30s, approximately 5’5” tall, and of stocky build. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt, gray pants, and gray sneakers.
