The police also write that the two were found by the equipment of the Norwegian Rescue Dogs.
The woman in her sixties and her niece did not return to the cabin where they were staying at the agreed time. An extensive research operation was therefore initiated.
A search was carried out with a boat, dogs and two helicopters for the two in the Svanstul hiking area and cabin in the north of Skien.

Southeast police operations leader Sondre Dahl told NRK on Friday night that 12 dog teams were in place and fine with the search teams.

The police set up a command vehicle in Svanstul and were ready to search at full speed all night. However, the two were found just before 01:00.
Police announced on Twitter that they had started a search for a woman and a child shortly after 9pm on Friday night.
