A woman and her child escaped an accident last night when a fire broke out in their semi-detached house. That happened just after midnight at De Boeten in Hollandscheveld, where a fire had broken out. The adjacent house was also damaged. The police suspect that the fire was caused deliberately.
According to a spokesperson for the Drenthe Safety Region, the woman and child were able to be brought to safety by bystanders who came to help.
