The series of violent assaults on women is not going well. A relationship dispute should escalate in Zell am See in the Pinzgau region of Salzburg on Friday evening. According to the police, the exact course of the crime was not yet fully clarified on Sunday.
The fact is that a 45-year-old woman was seriously injured by a knife stab in the upper body. Her heavily drunk partner called the emergency services by phone. The 41-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, but has so far not provided any information about the crime, according to police.
On Sunday, the Salzburg University Hospital gave the all-clear: the woman is no longer in mortal danger. Although she is still in the intensive care unit, her condition is stable.
A 57-year-old woman who rammed a knife into the chest of her partner (63) on Sunday night was also heavily drunk. According to the police, the man lost a lot of blood, but his life is not in danger. The woman, who had almost two per thousand alcohol in her blood, was arrested.
