NEW YORK – A 21-year-old Brooklyn woman was arrested on assault and weapons charges in the subway in which she stabbed a 14-year-old girl with whom she had an argument at a deli earlier this month, she said. the police on Monday.
Bianca Lewis and the teenager initially began arguing at a deli on Rutland Road around 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, police say. The reason for the dispute was unclear, but police say the girl soon left the store, and entered the Sutter Avenue-Rutland Road train station. Police say Lewis followed her.
Once on the mezzanine of line No. 3, the dispute turned physical, with police alleging that Lewis pulled out a knife and stabbed the girl in the chest. She fled the scene and was arrested more than two weeks later.
The 14-year-old victim was hospitalized in critical but stable condition after the attack. No update on his status was provided on Monday.
It was also unclear whether Lewis had hired an attorney.
