Woman (43) arrested in investigation of violence in the Alblasserdam region | Inland

After a broadcast of the television program Opsporing Verzocht in which attention was paid to the case, the police received three tips. Police said Tuesday that the violence must stop. “It is completely unacceptable. Innocent people are also endangered,” said the Rotterdam police sector head.

A number of homes have been closed by order of the mayors, including in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, where a house on Tromplaan was shot at on Saturday. Police found a firearm in the area and found that a window had been smashed.

Last weekend there was an explosion at a house at De Boezem in Alblasserdam and an explosive was found at a house in Merelstraat. Both homes were closed earlier this month in connection with the ‘mistaken abduction’ of a 56-year-old man from Hoofddorp.

Car against facade

A fire was set on Saturday evening at a business building on Edisonweg in Alblasserdam. On August 14, a car crashed into the facade of a commercial building in Zwijndrecht, after which a fire reduced a large part of the building on Kreekweg to ashes.

The municipalities have taken visible and invisible safety measures. For example, mobile security cameras have been installed at various locations. Roadblocks have been installed at some buildings, including the building on Edisonweg.
