Woman (38) dies after traffic quarrel about damage to cans that got out of hand

A 38-year-old woman from Lith died of her injuries on Wednesday night after a traffic dispute got out of hand. A 69-year-old woman from Oss has been arrested. The role of a 42-year-old man, the partner of the deceased woman, is also being investigated. Police are calling on witnesses to come forward.

The quarrel started on Wednesday evening around seven o’clock on the Kerkstraat in Lith. The 69-year-old woman drove her car into a parked car, causing damage to the eyes. To find out the owner of the car, the 69-year-old woman made inquiries with people in the street.

Shortly afterwards, a couple came forward: the 38-year-old woman and her 42-year-old partner. They indicated that they were the owners of the parked car. The three started talking to each other, but that conversation turned grim, the police writes. The argument got out of hand, after which the 69-year-old woman drove away in her car.

The man was dragged along and the woman ended up on the hood. The police are still investigating exactly how this happened. The car came to a stop further on. The 38-year-old woman was seriously injured and died later that night from her injuries.
