A 36-year-old woman was killed in a serious traffic accident with a vehicle on the E40 near the Blegny exit in the province of Liège on Friday evening. This is reported by the public prosecutor’s office in Liège. The woman’s two children and an adult were injured in the same car. They were taken to hospital.

The accident happened around 12:20 am and only one vehicle was involved. The woman would have wanted to take the exit from Blegny as a last resort, but for an unknown reason she lost control of the wheel and crashed into a guard rail.
The driver was killed, her sixteen-year-old daughter and seven-year-old son had to be freed from the vehicle along with an adult passenger. Their lives are not in danger.
Traffic was disrupted at the accident site during the night. The cause of the accident is not yet known.
