TOP STORY: Nuno wants striker with Costa a priority
Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno Espirito Santo confirmed he plans to prioritize a striker in January, with the Daily Mail reporting that the free agent Diego Costa at the top of his search list.
Raul jimenez is out for the foreseeable future after breaking his skull in November and Santo needs attack reinforcements and says the club “are ready to make some decisions”.
Wolves have been linked with Costa following his release by Atletico Madrid this week, so a move could be the perfect fit for both sides.
Wolves currently sit 12th in the Premier League after an unusual and inconsistent start to the season.
Costa scored two goals in seven appearances for Atletico this season before parting ways with the club.

Madrid target left-back Mendes
Real Madrid have identified Sporting Lisbon young left-back Nuno mendes as their favorite replacement for Marcelo, AS reports.
Madrid see the teenager as a long-term replacement for the 32-year-old Brazilian, and AS believe they have been watching Mendes for the past few weeks.
Marcelo is out of contract in 2022, but many believe it could be his last campaign at the Bernabeu.
Mendes has impressed this season with a combination of pace, work pace and ability to beat opponents, and he’s played 13 of 15 games.
Sport have already extended the youngster’s contract until 2025 with the knowledge that some of Europe’s top clubs are watching him, but he has a € 25million release clause.
Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is facing pressure from Liverpool, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United, who are also keeping an eye on the talented youngster.
Marseille wants to land Milik
Napoli forward Arkadiusz Milik has been linked with a number of clubs over the past 12 months, but it appears that the French team Marseille are the last to bid for their services, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Italian title suggests Marseille boss Andre Villas-Boas is the manager most likely to tempt Milik to leave Napoli in January.
Fiorentina offered Napoli around 25million euros in October, but Napoli are now ready to accept a lower offer given that Milik can leave the club for free from February 1.
Milik could leave for just € 10-12million, less than the club were asking for before Christmas.
The Polish striker is also being considered by Atletico Madrid, who are looking for a replacement for the aforementioned Costa.

– Brighton and Hove Albion consider moving Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero replacing Mat Ryan, who was told he could leave the Amex stadium. Romero slipped down the pecking order at Old Trafford after returning Dean Henderson of Sheffield United, and the Daily Mail believes the Seagulls want to land Argentina in January. Romero has also been linked with an unnamed Spanish side, as well as a move to club MLS Inter Miami.
– Eintracht Frankfurt is urgently looking for a replacement for Bas dost, and Bild reports that they are keen to land the youngster from Bayern Munich Joshua Zirkzee. Contact has already been made and Frankfurt are eager to sign a young player whom he can sell for a lot of money, just like he did with Sebastien haller and Kula Jovic. However, Zirkzee is under contract until 2023 and Bayern are reluctant to sell, preferring to lend him instead. Cologne is also interested.
