Wolverhampton Wanderers have signed Atletico Madrid striker Mateus Cunha on loan since 1 January 2023, making him the first signing of the Jose era.
Previously, Wolverhampton were linked with Cunha after the Brazilian international became a replacement for Atleti because he was not part of Diego Simeone’s plans.

Furthermore, after the loan deal expires in the summer of 2023, Gunha has an option to buy outright for €50m, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Gunja has played for several top clubs, including Sion, Leipzig, Hertha Berlin and Atletico Madrid.
