The municipal administration of Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, in solidarity with patients who need blood, has decided to organize a collection on Wednesday, June 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Malou Seniors Community Center, 44 Chaussée de Stockel. The objective: to offer the population the opportunity to join this civic approach.
According to the Red Cross, 1 in 10 people donate blood, while 1 in 7 people will need it one day. Anyone in good health, at least 18 years old, weighing at least 50 kg and not at risk of transmitting infectious diseases can volunteer. The only limit for seniors: over the age of 66, blood donation is only authorized if the previous donation dates back less than 3 years.
