The technological startup Wolt opens the first stone shop on the Czech market. Wolt Market is a new service that offers express delivery of food, drugstores, but also household goods within twenty minutes of ordering. The Czechia will join Finland, Greece or Denmark, where Wolt has already launched its network of stone shops. Smíchovský Wolt, located in Svornosti Street, will complete the second stone shop by the end of the year, which will expand the service to other parts of Prague.

During the first month, the new service focuses primarily on serving the wider city center, in addition to Smíchov, for example, also Dejvice, Vinohrady, Hradčany or Nové Město. By the end of this year, the second Wolt Market near the center will be launched, which will expand the service to the area of Holešovice, Karlín, Libeň or Troja.
The startup enters the new market segment after three years of experience in the Czech Republic. Until now, Wolt has been offering food delivery from restaurants or grocery shopping from partner stores. He is now launching his first Wolt Market. In addition to common foods of various categories, it will also offer products from suppliers such as Sklizeno, Biopekárna Zemanka or Struhy Farm. With the assortment, it will not forget customers with a gluten-free, lactose-free, vegan or protein diet.

The market will function as a closed store, in which the staff will complete the order and prepare it for delivery. The prepared purchase can then be picked up only by Wolta’s partner couriers, who will start combining the delivery of all the company’s services on this day. Wolt Market will be open daily and shopping will be available between 8pm and 10pm.
But Wolt’s ambitions do not remain only in the capital. “Prague is a key market for us, but of course we want to expand quickly to other cities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. As experience from abroad shows us, interest in the distribution of goods from Wolt Market has been great since its initial opening, ”says Wolt Market Director for the Czechia and Slovakia Jana Trnovská.

Wolt therefore aims to expand the service to all cities in which it operates in the Czech Republic. In addition to Prague, residents of Brno, Ostrava, Olomouc, Pilsen, Liberec, Pardubice, Hradec Králové, České Budějovice and Kladno will be able to order from Wolt Market in the future. Slovakia will also see the first Wolt Market. The startup will start a stone shop in Bratislava at the turn of the year.
