Midfielder Yannick Gerhardt from VfL Wolfsburg suffered serious injuries during the weekend training of the German Bundesliga team. “He contracted facial fractures in a head-on collision. This is a big drop of bitterness, ”said coach Oliver Glasner in a conference call with journalists on Sunday.
Gerhardt is currently in the hospital. On Monday, further examinations will determine which injuries the 26-year-old has suffered and whether he needs surgery.
