Remarkable images from the Netherlands. There, a motorist was able to film how a wolf walked around for a while near some cars. Normally wolves stay far away from people, but this animal didn’t seem to be afraid at all.
The images were taken last Thursday evening, April 18, in Ermelo, a municipality in the province of Gelderland in the Netherlands. The wolf kept hanging around the cars and didn’t get out of the way.
Knowledge platform Wolves in the Netherlands suspects that the animal was “fed by people”. “It associates cars and people with food,” one says response to X. “This is very undesirable behavior. We recommend deterring or transmitting this wolf. The province has to make a decision about this.” Gelderland is considering whether or not it can shoot a paintball gun at the wolf to scare the animal.
