Woke up by screams: man trapped in the middle of the night with a shovel in Schoonebeek

A man was trapped in a crane at a construction site in Schoonebeek for more than half an hour last night. The locals were woken up by his screams.

That was about half past two. Some residents of Julianalaan and Irenelaan were searched and found one at the construction site. He was caught and injured. The police, fire brigade, ambulance and ambulance were then called in.

The man turned out to have his arm stuck in a kinkmops, a type of small shovel that pavers use to move stones. The fire brigade was able to free the victim with a hydraulic hose. He was then taken to hospital with an unknown injury to his arm.

It is not clear what the man was doing at the construction site in the middle of the night.
