FC Red Bull Salzburg will likely report a painful departure in the near future.
Maximilian Wöber’s alleged move from the English Premier League to Leeds United is nearing completion, according to a report by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
As a result, the agreement has already been reached by both the player and the club, only the signature is missing. It is therefore only a matter of time before the transfer is officially completed.
Medical check already done
The transfer fee is over 12 million euros. The first reports spoke of eleven million euros plus another five million in extraordinary payments (read HERE >>>). According to information from the “Salzburger Nachrichten”, Wöber should have completed the medical check-up last Thursday.
Former Salzburg manager Jesse Marsch is said to have designed the ÖFB squad player primarily as a left defender, as Spain’s Junior Firpo grapples with massive form problems. With Rasmus Kristensen and Brenden Aaronson, Marsch brought two Salzburg players to England last summer.
The “Whites” are currently 14th in the Premier League with 16 points.
