Less than two weeks from the end of the WNBA regular season (the last game will be played on August 14), the New York Liberty can still hope for a qualification for the play-offs. On Tuesday, the New York franchise, fourth in the Eastern Conference, signed a clear victory against the Los Angeles Sparks (102-73).

Sabrina Ionescu (31 points) and Natasha Howard (24 pts) were the most effective in the ranks of Liberty. Marine Johannès, the French back from New York, also showed up. Coming from the bench, she played 22 minutes, for 12 points scored (4/10 in shooting including 1/6 at three points), three rebounds, an assist and four steals.

Rupert not used by Las Vegas
The Las Vegas Aces lost to the Washington Mystics (83-73). Iliana Rupert, the French pivot of the Nevada franchise, did not come into play. The Connecticut Sun largely beat the Phoenix Mercury (87-63), without Bria Hartley, whose season ended July 27 and a serious left knee injury.

Chicago, Connecticut, Washington (Eastern conference), Las Vegas and Seattle (West) have already qualified for the play-offs. Atlanta, New York (East), Dallas, Phoenix, Los Angeles and Minnesota (West) are vying for the remaining three spots.
