Dallas (Texas, USA) video game publisher Apogee Entertainment and Šempas (Slovenia) indie game developer Emberheart Games announced that their fantasy retro first-person shooter Wizordum will be released on PC via Steam Early Access on November 15, 2023. The ancient seal of Terrabruma has broken, unleashing the forces of Chaos. As one of the last mages of the Vizordum Sanctum, find the source of corruption and destroy the spawn of Chaos before they consume the kingdom in an easy-to-flash fantasy first-person shooter, taking a page out of the spellbooks of classic ’90s fantasy first-person shooters like Hexen and Heretic.
The Vizordum mages are on the brink of extinction, plunging into ever-increasing chaos outside the sanctum. Sharpen your arsenal of steel and magic and travel to the city of Grimbrook in search of the Source, destroying everyone who stands in the way. Along the way, search nooks and crannies for loot and relics to solve cryptic puzzles and deal even more damage.
Disable vile ogres and goblins with your skull-crushing mace, fire rapid-fire ice shards with your Iceweaver, and master Spellstrike to unleash concentrated magic on your enemies. Fight off restless undead and monstrous rats as you make your way through cobweb-covered corridors, restless graveyards, sewers, labyrinths and blood-stained courtyards filled with traps and treasure.
Crumbling cobblestone, burnt buildings, decay-filled dungeons and misty havens full of secrets await intrepid spellcasters within the crumbling city walls of Grimbrook.
