A painting like a play, pop art like a cartoon… , there is a succession of domestic and foreign artists who are coming up with ingenious works that stimulate brain cells.
The humor and wit that twist the hypocrisy and desires of modern people stand out.
Reporter Kyo-Jun Lee introduces.

At the bottom of the picture, a person is lying with his face covered, raising curiosity.
American painter David Saleh stimulates the imagination of visitors with strange scenes inspired by Peter Arnault, a famous illustrator who satirized the hypocrisy of New York’s upper class.
As if staging a play, the arrangement of heterogeneous images and bold colors invites multiple interpretations.

Products and food from various brands are spread out dizzyingly on the canvas, along with familiar characters with humorous appearances.
Fast food such as pizza and donuts and luxury goods such as expensive wine, luxury goods, and lobster are mixed together.
Artist Yoo Yong-seon mixes the gap between modern people’s endless desire for consumption and the economic reality of not being able to consume, as if cooking it into one picture.
[유용선 / 작가 : 직접적으로 소비할 수 있는 지금 그런 금전적 여유는 없고, 그 안에서 소비하고 싶은 욕구는 굉장히 있는 상황에서 비슷한 상실감을 갖고 있는 친구들이 봤을 때 좀 더 공감되는 것들이 있지 않을까?]
By satirizing the conspicuous consumption culture that often appears in the media, it makes us look back on the other side of modern society.
