A shocking incident rocked media sites in Egypt, where social networking pioneers circulated a video revealing people in Karbaj assault nurses inside an Egyptian government hospital.

The assault caused a pregnant nurse to bleed, and then her fetus was aborted, injuring others.

And a video clip revealed the incident that took place at the Quesna Central Hospital in the Governorate of Menoufia, in northern Egypt, where there was an argument between the patient’s family and the nurses, and it seems that some people attacked the nursing staff of Karbaj amidst the screams of those present and great chaos.

According to investigations, the facts of the accident began when a person, accompanied by his brother and some women, arrived at the hospital emergency room following a slight haemorrhage, at a time when all the gynecologists were engaged in other surgeries. .

It turned out that when the nurse informed the doctor of the details of the case, he asked for X-rays and some tests to be done until the surgeries were completed, but the case escort refused and asked for the need and quick visit case, he then hurled insults at the hospital staff.

According to the nurses, the women accompanying the case started threatening the hospital nursing staff and promising to beat them, after which two people entered the women’s ward and beat all the nurses in the ward.

And Egypt’s health ministry announced the speed of the investigation into the incident, as Health Minister Dr Khaled Abdel Ghaffar requested that it be provided with the results of an urgent investigation.

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the ministry’s official spokesman, said the minister had ordered all legal measures to be taken and a police report issued on behalf of the hospital to ensure that the rights of the nursing staff members were protected, and the state law regarding damage caused to the hospital.

He added that immediately after the accident, the minister instructed the Undersecretary of Menoufia Governorate to go to the hospital, prepare a detailed report on the accident, its causes and circumstances, as well as the injuries sustained by the nursing staff members, and list the damage to the hospital.

The General Nursing Syndicate, chaired by Dr. Kawthar Mahmoud, head of the Nursing Syndicate and a member of the Senate, denounced the attack, which resulted in the injury of 5 nurses and the miscarriage of another nurse, as well as injuring 3 women workers.

The Nursing Captain called on the relevant authorities to quickly investigate the incident in order to take urgent legal action against the person responsible for the incident.

Kawthar Mahmoud said he would not waive the rights of his members who perform their role to the fullest without default, stressing the need to address cases of assault on nursing staff, as intimidating nursing staff will not be in the interest of developing the health system .
