Kochi – Witnesses have identified the accused Dominic Martin in the Kalamasery bomb blast case. An identification parade was held at Kakanad District Jail in the presence of the Magistrate at 3 pm on Friday. The suspect was identified as a resident of Martin’s Athani flat and two people who were in the convention center at the time of the blast.
The identification parade was held along with the remand prisoners of the jail. The investigation team will submit an application to the court to take the accused into custody and interrogate them. The statement of Martin’s wife and family members may also be re-recorded.
At the same time, the police is conducting a detailed investigation of the mobile numbers that were active in the vicinity of the tower around the convention center at the time of the blast. This test is very difficult as there were about 2,500 people attending the convention. and will take time to complete. The aim is to find out if there is any abnormality in the numbers present at the time of the incident in or around the convention centre.
The same inspection is being done on the perimeter of the towers along the route of the suspect Martin and the places where he spent time in between until the explosion and surrender. Although Dominic Martin says that he is the only culprit, the police is trying to underline this conclusion only after collecting all the evidence.
