The man, Serge Svetnoy, who was responsible for the lighting on the film set as a technician, believes Baldwin was negligent.
Svetnoy argues in his indictment that film producer and actor Baldwin should have implemented safety regulations to prevent “a revolver loaded with ammunition from being aimed at living persons”. In addition to Baldwin, weapons specialist Hannah Gutierrez-Reed and assistant director Dave Halls have also been charged by Svetnoy.
Gunpowder
The technician says the fatal bullet that hit 42-year-old Hutchins also flew past him. He was hit in the face by gunpowder and ‘residuals’. There was simply no reason to have a bullet on set, according to Svetnoy.

Svetnoy’s lawyer, Gary Dordick, told a news conference that “producing films is a wonderful profession, but no one should ever die to entertain others”. Svetnoy says he was one of the first people on set to try to help Hutchins and that it will “follow him forever”.
Emotional damage
Entertainment website TMZ reports that Svetnoy is claiming compensation for, among other things, emotional damage that he allegedly suffered. Attorney Dordick said during the press conference that the technician does not want to make money from the lawsuit. He would like to improve safety conditions on film sets in the future.
The authorities of Santa Fe, where the accident took place, are still investigating the incident. No one has been criminally charged yet.
