The Civil Defense Forces teams in the Saudi capital announced that a bus fell from the top of a bridge in Riyadh, resulting in a death and a number of injuries, and they were transferred to the hospital.
And the General Directorate of Civil Defense stated, in a statement issued today, Thursday, that the injured were transferred to the hospital by the competent authority, and the preventive aspect was implemented in coordination with the General Traffic Department.
For their part, social media activists circulated a picture showing the horrific overturning of the bus, and a number of people gathered around it in the presence of civil defense vehicles, ambulance teams, and rescue attempts for the injured by medical evacuation.
Social media pioneers also interacted with the accident, calling for changing the iron barriers on the outskirts of the bridges to concrete, and the importance of training bus drivers and subjecting vehicles to periodic inspection on an ongoing basis to avoid these fatal accidents.
