The call to vaccinate
The Ministry of Health has reinforced its “extramural” vaccination campaign, reaching educational establishments with the aim of increasing vaccination coverage. The campaign has focused on reaching those people with pending doses, remembering that there are sufficient doses and that vaccination is a community responsibility.
In addition, the Health Seremi has also activated a communication channel, via email, to channel requests for extramural vaccination operations and reach educational establishments that need to reinforce this process.
From the Ministry of Education, circulars have been sent to the educational community inviting parents and guardians to learn about this process and inform themselves about the advantages of this immunization process.
The site has also been deployed vacunacionescolar.mineduc.cl as a tool open to the public that allows knowing the progress of vaccination by level, in a non-individualized way. This information allows communities to promote vaccination at lower levels.
The vaccinated
The Mineduc Study Center together with Minsal carried out the coverage report. From 6 to 17 years old, there is an average of 89% coverage with a complete scheme.
However, there is a group of courses that still does not have the complete scheme and would have to start with the capacity in the US.
Given this, the Minister of Education Marco Antonio Ávila, He specified that “we must remember the value of vaccination against Covid-19. This protection tool is essential for a safe return to the classroom. That is why we ask them to reinforce this process in their communities, so that they can explain to fathers, mothers and caregivers the importance of care and of maintaining full presence.”
“On May 30, the vaccination threshold against Covid-19 per course begins to apply. Those who do not reach 80% from 7th grade to 4th grade must have a distance of one meter between students. If this is not possible, a different organization of the school day must be carried out. It is important that we minimize the courses that have to carry out this readjustment, ”he sentenced.
