Bulgarian Cup winners Deya Sport continue their convincing performance in efbet Super Volley. The team led by Francesco Cadedu beat away Heber (Pazardzhik) 3:0 (25:17, 25:22, 25:18) in a match of the 19th round.
The visitors were once again without some of their main players – the receiver Valentin Bratoev is in Italy for medical examinations, and the center Nikolay Nikolov was entered as a libero for the second consecutive match. Diagonal Nikolay Uchikov, who is also recovering from an injury, was on the field in the first two parts and scored 9 points.
He was subsequently replaced by the Brazilian Lucas Madaloz. Coach Francesco Cadedu used a wide squad and gave all his available players a chance to perform.
The two teams started evenly (to 7:7), after which the Burgasians broke away and easily took the lead in the match.
In the second game, the game started identically, after which Heber’s young volleyball players took a slight lead, but were unable to keep it. The visitors took the lead midway through the half, then managed to hold firm. The opposition stood close to them, but Francesco Cadedu’s men increased their lead. During most of the third part, the two teams were catching up, after which Deja broke away and prevailed.
The top scorers were Nikolay Uchikov and Todor Dimitrov with 9 points each (2 aces, 1 block), and Dimitrov was awarded MVP. Dimitar Vasilev finished with 7 points (1 ace, 1 blocks).
Burgazlii are the undisputed leader with 52 points (18 wins, 1 loss), Pazarjiklii are tenth with 17 points (5 wins, 14 losses).
In the next round, Deja meets Black Sea on March 8 (Friday). Heber goes against Neftohimik 2010 (Burgas) a day later.
