Without self – isolation, non – vaccinated people in Latvia will be able to enter from Ukraine, it must be observed again from a number of EU countries The news

Riga, July 16, LETA. Persons who have not been vaccinated against Covid-19 will have to observe ten days of self-isolation when entering Latvia also from the Netherlands, Greece, Malta, Denmark and Belgium, according to information from the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (SPKC).

Similarly, unvaccinated people will still have to comply with ten days of self-isolation when returning from Cyprus, Portugal, Spain, Andorra, Ireland, Monaco, Luxembourg and the United Kingdom.

On the other hand, the list of other European countries from which no one has to observe self-isolation has not changed.

Among the countries outside the European Union and the European Economic Area, Ukraine has appeared separately on the list for the first time, which means that no one has to observe self-isolation when coming from it. Other countries in the region have previously included Armenia and Azerbaijan.

At present, no country in the world is included in the list of countries at particularly high risk for countries with an epidemiological situation that could pose a serious threat to public health.

The SPKC is calling on the public to be vaccinated, as it remains the safest and most effective form of protection against severe forms of the disease and reduces the spread of Covid-19 infection in the community.

It has already been reported that persons vaccinated against Covid-19 who have entered Latvia from any European Union, European Economic Area country, Switzerland or Great Britain will no longer have to comply with the self-isolation requirement when approving amendments to “Epidemiological safety measures to control the spread of Covid-19 infection”. in May decided by the government.
