In the Córdoba town of Hernando, technicians from the Ministry of Bioagroindustry, through the General Directorate of Inspection and Control, carried out new ex officio controls in agricultural establishments, with the objective of corroborating the application of the provisions of Law No. 9164, which defines the obligation to use a digital phytosanitary prescription, and to have authorizations for both spraying equipment and its operators.
Visits were also carried out to warehouses of phytosanitary products to corroborate their infrastructure and operational conditions, as indicated in Annex II of regulatory decree 132/05.
“As a result of the inspections, a phytosanitary warehouse was preventively closed for not having the corresponding authorizations from this ministry. On the other hand, inspections were carried out in agricultural establishments in the rural area of said department to control the use of the digital phytosanitary recipe,” they reported from the province.
“It is worth clarifying that all application of phytosanitary products must be carried out with equipment and operators authorized for this purpose. In addition, the application must be prescribed through a digital phytosanitary prescription, which is issued by a phytosanitary advisor,” they noted below.
This closure is in addition to many others previously carried out by local authorities, who have been carrying out strict security controls for some time.
