Without Hassan Azis and iconic mayors in the MRF lists

HASAN AZIS

The movement’s 150,000 voters were not in Turkey but in Western Europe

The mayor of Kardzhali, Hassan Azis, and the chairman of the city’s MRF regional organization and former mayor of Ardino, Resmi Murad, will not run for the July 11th movement. Such information appeared among the party structures after the Central Council of the movement decided on Sunday that the lists would undergo slight corrections.

Hassan Azis and Resmi Murad were 2nd and 3rd on the MRF’s Kardzhali list for the April 4th parliamentary elections. The mayor of Kardzhali was the first to resign. He announced that he wants to stay in his position because there are many projects started. After him, Murad resigned on the grounds that he could not combine the position of regional chairman and MP.

Whether the two will be candidates on July 11 will become clear on May 27, when the MRF lists should be ready, Hassan Azis and Resmi Murad told 24 Chasa.

It is still unclear whether these will be the only dropouts from the traffic lists compared to the April 4 vote. In the last elections, the MRF, at the behest of its honorary chairman, Ahmed Dogan, bet on young people. Many regional chiefs and mayors also joined the lists, who then resigned. Among them was the mayor of Galabovo Nikolay Tonev. He was on the Stara Zagora list and managed to attract a large number of votes, and the MRF received a mandate from there for the first time.

The movement is already tightening district structures and the youth organization for early voting. In addition to other election tasks, they need to train the electorate of the movement on how to vote with machines. These days, a decision must be made on how exactly this will happen. Most likely, the party will prepare information videos, similar to those of the CEC, which will be broadcast during meetings with citizens, representatives of the movement commented to “24 Chasa”.

“We do not expect many more votes from Turkey, but from Western Europe. We have a lot of voters who are there at work, maybe over 100-150 thousand, “said the deputy head of the MRF Yordan Tsonev to Nova TV in response to a question whether the party expects to increase its result thanks to the vote in our southern neighbor after the limit of 35 sections in non-EU countries fell.

“If there is a program cabinet in the next parliament, it can pass without us, but with our support,” he explained. The MRF will support a government that overlaps with its ideas.

“Radev now remembered the return of statehood. Our slogan was “restart of statehood”. Congratulations, Mr. President, welcome to the MRF, “he added.
