LONDON – Veteran center -back Chelsea, Thiago Silva, thanks to Frank Lampard. Because, Thiago Silva will not be able to lift the trophy Champions League in the 2020-2021 season without Lampard.
Lampard was Chelsea Coach in the first half of the season. He signed many star players to Chelsea in the 2020 summer transfer window, one of which was Thiago Silva from PSG.
Thiago Silva was brought in for free, then signed for a season. The 36-year-old player also performed quite well as a leader in Chelsea’s defense.
However, as a team with many new players, Chelsea’s performance has been up and down at the start of this season. As a result, Chelsea sacked Lampard, then replaced him with Thomas Tuchel in January 2021.

For Thiago Silva and Tuchel, this is their first Champions League trophy. Therefore, Thiago Silva is grateful to have accepted Lampard’s proposal to join Chelsea at the start of this season.
“It’s special, in my first year here. Tuchel has changed the mentality of the team, but it’s also important to talk about Lampard,” said Thiago Silva, quoted from SBS, Tuesday (1/6//2021).
“Without him, I wouldn’t be here. So thanks to him for letting me sign here. I’m very happy and I hope he is too.”
Thiago Silva is now focusing on the Brazilian National Team (Timnas) which will compete in the 2021 Copa America. Winning is the target of Thiago Silva et al because Brazil is the host of the 2021 Copa America.
