Almost all the extras that make it more beautiful have been removed from the electric drive bus, but the price is still uncomfortably high – at least 49,998 euros.
A new ID is available in the Volkswagen configurator. A buzz variant called Freestyle. Volkswagen presents it as the new basic model, which offers the most friendly price to the customer. On paper, it really is – 4,102 euros or 7.5 percent less than before, but the customer should expect that the Freestyle version will not be the best among its siblings.
This version of the bus has unpainted plastic bumpers, plastic lined steel wheels, plain fabric seat covers and a white body.
To keep the overall picture from looking so small, the designer has been given black body pillars and mirror covers, body colored door handles and door sill stickers.
Freestyle equipment also includes diode lights, a multimedia system with a 12.9-inch screen, dual-zone climate control, parking sensors and an emergency braking system with recognition of pedestrians and cyclists.
Such an electric drive vehicle will be equipped with a 170 hp electric motor and a 59 kWh battery that will provide 329 km according to WLTP.
The appearance of the Volkswagen ID Buzz can be improved by choosing additional items from the range of optional equipment. Metallic paint costs 1035 euros, 19-inch alloy wheels – 2500 euros, heat pump for faster charging – 1047 euros.
