Georgy Zhzhenov is known to most viewers for his role as an inspector in the cult film Beware of the Car. The fate of this talented actor was not easy, because he had four marriages and 17 years of camps.
The first chosen one of Zhzhenov was the actress Evgenia Golynchik. But after Georgy Stepanovich ended up in a colony, he decided to part with her so as not to complicate her life. The actor ended up in the camps after meeting a foreigner. The matter was further complicated by the fact that Zhzhenov’s brother was considered an enemy of the country. The artist was given 17 years in the camps.
During his exile, he met his second wife, Lydia Vorontsova. She was also accused of dealing with foreigners. In this marriage, a daughter, Lena, was born. However, after their release, their union broke up – nothing connected the spouses anymore.
The third wife of Zhzhenov was the actress Irina Makhaeva. Their whirlwind romance developed rapidly. Irina gave birth to a daughter from the artist, but the common child did not save this marriage either. Zhzhenov was tired of the constant scandals and scenes of jealousy that Makhaeva arranged.
But with the fourth wife, Lydia Malyukova, the actor finally found the long-awaited happiness. She was his colleague and also acted in films. Malyukova can be seen in the painting “Personal Happiness”. She cannot be called a beauty in the usual sense, but for Zhzhenov, Lydia became her main love. They lived together until the death of the actor in 2005.
