But after the DFB Cup final with VfL Wolfsburg against Turbine Potsdam (4:45 p.m./ARD) the international goalkeepers will pack their bags to travel first to the European Championships in England and then to their new club Angel City FC in the United States. “In the United States, I haven’t yet considered whether it’s part of the culture or can become part of the culture,” says the 31-year-old about possible “Humba” chants in Los Angeles.

In Wolfsburg, on the other hand, it all sounds familiar. After all, Schult has been able to put the league and DFB Cup double on her CV for the fifth time against Potsdam. The NWSL is considered to be much more balanced than that of the wolves Bundesliga mostly dominated in recent years. This balance is particularly interesting for goalkeepers: “You just get more to do,” explains Schult. But the big fan of the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy also wants to experience a touch of Hollywood – she has already visited Universal Studios in the past. Are you excited about meeting stars like club owner and actress Portman? “I’m not that much of a groupie,” Schult replies. “I’m not one who would run after people to take a selfie.”
