WhatsApp is a tremendously popular instant messaging application globally. Although it is not distinguished by being the safest. In fact, even the UN has banned its use for official affairs and the richest man in the world was blackmailed by a problem with that app.
However, everyone continues to use it and therefore remains vulnerable to a significant number of tricks with which scammers and cyber thieves can jeopardize the privacy of their victims.
If the UN has already abandoned WhatsApp you can do it too. It is filtered that since June 2019 they left the platform for security.
Unfortunately there are several ways to steal a WhatsApp account and lately a strange method of social engineering has become popular.
Where the victims receive a call, where the attacker informs the victim that he has won a ticket for a fashion concert or some cheap show.
Among all the lie they are told that as a security method they would have just received an SMS message with six verification digits. Same that they must share to validate the identity of the “winner” and be able to get the prize.
The delicate issue is that those six digits are actually the verification code to access the WhatsApp account.
Having that code, the thief can log in remotely to the account, enable double factor authentication in WhatsApp and take full control of the account.

This method seems to have grown so much and to such an extent that print media have ended up consulting firms like Kaspersky to discuss the issue. Those who highlight the importance of using all the security filters offered by WhatsApp:
This highlights the need for people to understand the importance of protecting their data. The application is widely used in our day to day and is also an essential tool for some at work. Imagine not having access to it for days or weeks.
We urge all users to configure double factor authentication in this application as soon as possible and distrust messages and calls from strangers, since not everything that glitters is gold.
Needless to say, the best strategy is to activate two-step verification in WhatsApp, as well as distrust such calls from strangers.
