For the first time, Disneyland opened its doors during Fashion Week. And it was Coperni who had the honor of presenting his collection in front of Sleeping Beauty’s castle. If the collection is making the rounds on social networks, it’s partly thanks to this bag, inspired by Cinderella’s slippers!
On October 1, 2024, Disneyland Paris was transformed into a large podium for one evening. Coperni was the first brand to present its new spring-summer 2025 collection in this magical place, and it created a buzz on social networks!
This is not the first time that the French label has set the Internet ablaze. In 2022, the video of the dress painted on Bella Hadid’s body during the spring-summer 2023 fashion show went viral! This time, Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant, the two creators of the brand, were inspired by the world of Disney princesses. Romantic dresses with ruffles, shoulder pads, references to Maleficent’s horns, shoes shaped like Mickey’s ears, puffed sleeves… Each look referenced an element of our childhood!
The show unfolded like a film in three acts. The first evoked nostalgia and vintage, with vintage Mickey t-shirts. One of the pieces has also made the rounds on the Internet, purchased by Coperni on Vinted for less than 10 euros! The second act was a nod to Disney villains, with monochrome and structured outfits. The last part presented the modern princess, revisiting classic silhouettes.
But, in addition to the fireworks and Kylie Jenner, who paraded in an imposing black strapless dress, it was a bag that caught the public’s attention: the brand’s emblematic “Swipe”. This bag with its iconic rounded shape is reinvented every season, demonstrating Coperni’s technological innovation. After the version composed of 99% air, the one created from a meteorite or the one made entirely of blown glass, Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant have this time imagined a variation in shiny and translucent crystal, like Cinderella’s glass slippers!
Created in collaboration with Swarovski, this new version of Coperni’s Swipe bag is made from 171 cut and polished crystal facets and weighs 1.7 kg. This major project required more than 110 hours of work! So there is very little chance that this bag will go on sale, but it still managed to make us very nostalgic!
“When we designed this SS25 collection, mainly inspired by fairy tales and princesses, we thought it would be extraordinary to create the most dreamlike Swipe ever, made entirely from a giant Swarovski stone. We have had the chance to work with Swarovski several times, it is always a pleasure to see how the house evolves and innovates“, explained Arnaud Vaillant to Harper’s Bazaar.
