Garlic
If you’re in the early stages of a cold, garlic is your friend. Garlic also has an antibacterial effect and can prevent the worsening of the cold.
So if you decide to use more garlic in your food, it is advisable to crush the garlic before baking. This releases the substance ‘allicin’. This substance stimulates the immune system and is generally good for your body.
After crushing the garlic, it is best to leave it for another 10 minutes before using it. This stabilizes the allicin and makes it more resistant to heat and the substance remains in the garlic in a larger amount than if you do not crush the garlic.

Ui
When you have a bad cold, your nasal passages can become completely closed. Especially when you’re in bed. And that is of course extremely annoying. A simple solution is to roughly chop a peeled onion and place it on a plate next to your bed. This will make your cavities freer again. Give it a try!
