The anti-covid vaccination center of the Vignola health district was officially inaugurated yesterday morning, in the hall below the church of Brodano, which will be at the service of all 8 municipalities of the Terre di Castelli plus Montese Union. Present, for the occasion, all mayors of the Union (or their delegates), the parish priest Don Luca Fioratti, the director of the Health District, Maria Pia Biondi, the manager of the health professions of Vignola, Tiziana Flandi, and the coordinator of the professions health, Clara Boni. And then obviously, already in the field and in full swing (the center in fact started vaccinations last Tuesday), doctors, nurses, administrative staff and volunteers from the Vignola Public Assistance.
To do the honors, of course, Maria Pia Biondi, who explained how this place lends itself particularly to being set up as a vaccination center: large outdoor parking and, inside, space for acceptance (where the person to be vaccinated illustrates , documentation in hand, any pathologies), a space for medical assistance, posts reserved for vaccinations (two lines were active yesterday, but at full capacity it will reach 5), spaces for post-vaccination relaxation, to check that everything be okay before returning home.
“Currently – explained Dr. Biondi – 192 doses of vaccine per day (from Pzifer) are assigned to our district, managed directly by the hospital pharmacy. No dose of vaccine is wasted and we are naturally organized to manage both the first and the second recall. At full capacity, we will be able to carry out about 300 vaccinations per day “.
To avoid any critical issues as much as possible, at the moment of acceptance a careful analysis is made of any pathologies of the patient and, in the case of suspicion that problems may arise, the patient is sent home (the day before yesterday, only one time), but his name is still kept to carry out the vaccine at a later time and in an even more assisted manner. Currently, the forecasts of the Ausl are to finish the vaccination campaign for the over 85 group for the Vignola district by the end of February, and then start as of March 1 with reservations for the population between 80 and 84 years included (you can book at the pharmacy or through the channels indicated on the Ausl website, www.ausl.mo.it). Meanwhile, still yesterday, there was a lot of satisfaction among the vaccinated.
Pier Antonio Sereni, 85, commented: “Now I feel more serene. I have always tried to keep myself informed about the time of vaccinations, I booked at the pharmacy and here I am”. Laura Pifferi, 87, added: “I feel good and they have been good”. Luigi Paltrinieri, 90, from Vignola, a former Piaggio dealer, also said: “I wanted to get the vaccine and I finally succeeded. I feel good”.
