The son of the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov, 16-year-old Eli (Zelimkhan), successfully debuted in MMA. Lui competed at the 150th Anniversary Tournament of the Akhmat Absolute Championship (ACA).
Kadyrov’s son’s rival in a three-round fight was Islam Akbarov, who also made his MMA debut. Kadyrov won by TKO in the first round.
UFC record holder Khamzat Chimaev was Eli’s second (he won his first two UFC victories in a record short period of time – ten days).
In the main battle of the ACA 150 tournament, which takes place at the CSKA Arena in Moscow, Artem Reznikov from Kazakhstan and a Russian will meet. This will be the semifinal round of the ACA Lightweight Grand Prix.
Previously, Eli Kadyrov participated in boxing matches several times. Eli is the second son of Ramzan Kadyrov.
ASA is one of the leading Russian MMA promotions. Petr Yan, who later became the UFC Bantamweight Champion, previously competed in the ACA.
