With the Hac in Le Havre, Rouen Quevilly Métropole is a leading club for women’s football

Since September and during the month of October again, the women’s section of Quevilly Rouen Métropole has opened its Wednesday afternoon training sessions to all those who wish to discover football. A visit was necessary last Wednesday to meet Chloé Janela who was training the U9 at that time of the afternoon.

« With us, each player is guaranteed to play in an exclusively female team almost every weekend, either on the plateau (small friendly tournament) for the youngest, or in the league for the others. », explains Chloe Janela while keeping an eye on the evolution of the girls she has coached for three seasons.

With a women’s section called Viviane Asseyi, named after the former Quevillaise playing today on the lawns of Bayern Munich and godmother of the club, QRM seems to take the full measure of its official slogan, “United to win, together to train” , a slogan declined for both men and women.

From 6 years old

From U6Fs (including those under six) to seniors, all age categories are thus duly represented, making QRM and HAC the only two Seaman clubs to offer any interested parties such a panel. « Moreover, the club has just been labeled “Gold Women’s Section” with nearly 160 licensees, all levels combined. », rejoices Chloe Janela. A gold medal which comes at the right time to reward eight years of a policy of developing women’s football within the club.

Adapted structures, outfits offered, open houses, interventions with schools, year-round training … the club has thus been able to score points, season after season, and confirm a craze that does not diminish. « But no favoritism either. Here everyone is housed in the same boat. » At Lozai Stadium, football is first of all combined with team spirit and effort, regardless of age or gender.
