Until the last hour of the holiday, the authorities of the Ministry of Health are working on the details to start up the same machinery that until now has responded to more than 40,000 people from Rosario per day on the grounds of Parque Independencia; however, they did not anticipate details and only indicated that all the information will be provided on Wednesday, at the beginning of the day, in a conference.

The determination of the new place to support the application of vaccines throughout the province, a campaign that as of the last day of February, it had reached the placement of 7.6 million vaccines, 97.9% of the total received; and of which 1.4 million are already third doses, it was not easy, but it was defined for mid-February.
The offer of the company Cencosud, which operates the Rosario Portal, not only offered a physical space under roof and characteristics similar to those of the sheds of the former Ruralbut also allows, as indicated by the health authorities, to maintain the same form of organization of those who arrive to receive their vaccine.

Since the announcement of the chosen place and in recent weeks, the Minister of Health, Sonia Martoranoinsisted that the move would not mean an interruption in the application of vaccines at allespecially taking into account the need to continue with the reinforcement of immunizations for the start of the school year with full presence at all levels and the proximity of the beginning of autumn.
Although the change of venue is part of “a decentralization” of the vaccination campaign that the health authorities have already been talking about, Martorano insisted that the space will maintain the same operational capacity to respond to the demand they had on the grounds of Parque Independencia.
That point is central, especially considering that in the last week, when the decision to start vaccinating people over 18 years of age began to give results and the influx of people to the vaccination centers began to increase.
To this was added the return of many people who were on shifts, but who were on vacation and once in the province, attended to apply the booster doses.
Those responsible for the former Rural have been working for days not only on the move, but also on logistical and organizational details “to provide the same service,” said the coordinator of Territorial Approaches in Health, Sebastián Torres.
