The atmosphere of the holy month of Ramadan began among Muslims, on the evening of Wednesday night, with a great turnout for Tarawih prayers, both Arab and Islamic.
In an atmosphere full of spirituality and tranquility, Libyans of all political orientations and social races performed Tarawih prayers for the first night of the holy month, while the sheikhs recite the Holy Qur’an reverently during prayer in the streets.
And in Saudi Arabia, the official news agency reported that a spiritual atmosphere surrounded those who went to the Grand Mosque during Tarawih prayers on the first night of the holy month.
And the Saudi agency confirmed that, amid an atmosphere full of security, safety, tranquility and spirituality, worshipers in the Kingdom performed the first Tarawih prayer on the first night of the blessed month of Ramadan this year in the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina.
Tens of thousands performed the first Tarawih prayer in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and its courtyards were filled with worshipers who flocked from various regions of Jerusalem and from the West Bank and the occupied interior to perform Tarawih prayers and observe i’tikaaf in it.
For its part, the Kuwaiti News Agency stated that the worshipers performed Tarawih prayers on the first night of the blessed Ramadan, amid an atmosphere of faith and full joy.
Through its Twitter account, the Qatari newspaper, Al-Raya, published a video clip of Tarawih prayers being performed in one of the mosques in the country, showing a heavy turnout, and an imam reciting the Qur’an with reverence.
Among the most prominent Emirati mosques that witnessed the performance of Tarawih prayers, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, in an atmosphere of reverence full of spirituality, according to what was broadcast by the account of the Emirates Knights documented on Twitter.
In Egypt, mosques across the country witnessed the performance of Tarawih prayers, especially in the Al-Azhar Mosque, and the Amr Ibn Al-Aas and Al-Hussein mosques in the capital, Cairo.
And most Arab countries announced that Tarawih prayers would be allowed to be performed in most of the country’s mosques without restrictions, unlike the years of the Corona pandemic, which imposed in several countries the ban on prayer in mosques and confining them to homes, as part of the health measures followed at the time.
