With the e-car in the Breisgau

Phew, that was hard work! Do you think I mean the Löwen’s 2-1 away win at SC Freiburg II? No way! It’s about getting to and from Breisgau by electric car… Nevertheless, one can perhaps derive an analogy with the lions. Despite a number of trials and tribulations, despite energetic setbacks and a few mishaps, we reached our goal and in the end had reason to be happy. Follow us, lions!

With the e-car in the Breisgau

My colleague Thomas Enn dared the experiment of driving an electric car from Munich to Freiburg and picked me up at Lake Constance on the way. In terms of range, that should actually be the case – we thought. On the way to the Swabian Sea, the first doubts arose as to whether this would work out. In the meantime it was very clear: It won’t work! However, when he made the stopover at my place, it suddenly looked quite good and we decided not to switch to my petrol engine, but to do it with the electric car.

Kind of reminds me of the preliminary round of the lions, doesn’t it? Pretty disillusioned after the long series of draws, after the defeats against Mannheim and Magdeburg almost hopeless. Nevertheless, you continued and it was followed by an energy boost. With us through an opportunity charge in Engen, with TSV 1860 through victories in Dortmund and Würzburg and a great start after the winter break.

Annoying setbacks

We were also doing well after the break and suddenly got closer to our goal. Well, we got lost in Freiburg, but that wasn’t so bad. Sixty knows that too. In football it’s called Türkgücü and ultimately doesn’t matter.

A short time later we were already at the stadium, so off to the next charging station and gather a lot of power for the rest of the wild ride. Well, if only it were always that easy… Sixty loses to Halle and the energy provider in Breisgau doesn’t manage to offer a charging station that works without any problems. Already annoying!

It could have been so easy…

I don’t want to write too much about the game in Freiburg. You either saw that or followed it in our live ticker, right? It wasn’t nice, but three points are three points and we are now in 4th place. crazy, right?

Speaking of crazy: We also headed back home, everything went wonderfully – until shortly before our stopover in Friedrichshafen, where Thomas wanted to load his vehicle again to make sure that he would come home today. Construction sites, occupied charging stations, slow pizza service. The completely normal madness that the lions call Mannheim and Saarbrücken. It could all have been so easy…

Follow us, lions!

While I am typing these lines on Sunday evening, my colleague Thomas Enn is still on the autobahn to Munich and will later go to bed tired but (hopefully) content. Lions, now it’s your turn: Bring the thing home, don’t let yourself be thrown off track and pull it off!
