Driving digitization in vocational training – that is the goal of the Chiemgau campus. The campus is an amalgamation of four partners: the Technical University of Rosenheim, the training center of the Chamber of Crafts, the IHK Academy and the Traunstein district as the supporting organization.

“The focus of the training and further education offer is in the area of digitization,” explains Andreas Straube, representative of the TH Rosenheim for the Campus Chiemgau. The aim is to jointly provide an impetus for the future viability of vocational training and at the same time to strengthen the innovation and competitiveness of companies in the region.

The campus offers seminars of one to three days, the extra-occupational certificate program “Digitization in Mechanical Engineering” over two semesters, the extra-occupational course in business administration with a focus on digitization, and the training and extra-occupational course in mechanical engineering with a focus on digitization. The courses take place on the campus at the Stadtplatz in Traunstein, or as online and hybrid events due to Corona. khe
